About Kensington
One of San Diego's oldest and most charming residential neighborhoods, Kensington
is situated north of El Cajon Boulevard and east of Interstate 15 above the
south rim of Mission Valley. Known for its winding streets, beautiful homes,
and breathtaking canyon views, Kensington offers a miniature "Main Street"
along Adams Avenue, replete with coffee shops, restaurants, a branch library
and the regionally famous Ken Theater, which offers a steady array of independent
films. As with many other District Three neighborhoods, there's a neon "Kensington"
community identification sign which spans Adams Avenue, proudly marking this
as home.
